The full-size replica of Fort Christmas includes seven restored historical homes that were relocated from
their original locations to the property. In these historic houses, you can see pioneer life from the 1870s
to the 1930s through the "Cracker" architecture of East Orange County. There is a 1906 Union Christmas
School on display as well as historical farming equipment, a sugar cane mill, two cow camps, and a
sugar cane mill. Among the exhibits at this museum are a video presentation about the Seminole Indian
Wars, as well as weapons, clothing, tools, appliances, and other items dating from the Seminole War
period.
In 1977, Orange County Parks and Recreation opened a replica fort in cooperation with the Fort
Christmas Historical Society.
