1. Dog Leg Woods at Diogi Park -3326 Cleveland Heights Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33803
Located within Peterson Park, Dog Leg Woods is a spacious, shaded haven for dogs of all sizes.
It features separate areas for large and small dogs, agility equipment, water stations, and plenty
of benches for pet parents. The natural setting, with mature trees and grassy terrain, makes it a
favorite for dogs who love to explore and sniff.
2. Lake Crago Dog Park -525 Lake Crago Drive, Lakeland, FL 33805
Nestled inside Lake Crago Park, this dog park offers a modern, well-maintained space with doublegated entry, separate zones for small and large dogs, and shaded seating. It’s ideal for social pups
and includes walking trails around the lake for on-leash strolls. The park opens later on Wednesdays
(9 AM), so plan accordingly. (Wednesdays, the Dog Park will open at 9 AM)
3. Douglas Cook Park Dog Park -955 Wedgewood Estates Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33809
This neighborhood gem offers a cozy, fenced-in area for dogs to run freely. While smaller than
the others, it’s perfect for quick play sessions and socializing with nearby residents. It includes
basic amenities like waste stations and benches, and it’s conveniently located near downtown
Lakeland.
*Tuesdays, the dog park opens at 9 AM for maintenance.
4. On Dog Time Dog Park -145 N. Lake Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801
Located at 228 S. Massachusetts Ave., On Dog Time is a newer addition to Lakeland’s dog park
lineup. It’s designed with urban pups in mind, offering a clean, secure space for off-leash play. Its
central location makes it a great stop during downtown outings or weekend errands.
Each park has its own rules, so be sure to check signage for leash requirements, hours, and pet
etiquette. While dogs must be vaccinated and well-behaved, these parks are open to all breeds
and sizes. For Brenda, who loves pet-friendly adventures, these parks offer perfect opportunities
for outdoor bonding, seasonal photo ops, and even costume playdates during fall festivities.
